He started out driving trucks in Arsi, hauling cherry to private washing stations, then moved into collecting and supplying the central market. In 2021 he went back home and opened his own drying station, Dawencho. That same year he placed 2nd at Cup of Excellence. In 2022, four of the top ten CoE winners ran through Dawencho, including 1st place from his brother-in-law Legesse Botola.
